Benny Sings covers soft-rock classic ‘Sailing‘, originally released by Christopher Cross, paying tribute to one of music’s all-time greatest hits.
Released in 1979, ‘Sailing’ swiftly ascended to the summit of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, catapulting Christopher Cross into immediate stardom. The track played a pivotal role in Cross’ historic achievement of winning the “Big Four” Grammy Awards in a single year in 1980, a feat matched only by Billie Eilish and Adele in subsequent years. Over the years, ‘Sailing’ has been revisited by several notable artists, including NSYNC, Puff Daddy, and R&B sensation Avant.
Reflecting on his rendition of ‘Sailing’, Benny Sings shares:

Benny Sings has carved out an illustrious career spanning two decades, culminating in his latest album ‘Young Hearts‘, released in March 2023 on Stones Throw Records. The album is produced by Grammy-nominated producer Kenny Beats and includes the single ‘Pyjamas’ ft. Remi Wolf, and has amassed more than 20 million streams to date. Young Hearts was well received with a sold-out European tour with stops in a.o. Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam & London.
The Amsterdam singer-songwriter has recently returned from a US tour and will finish the year with more shows in Europe and Asia. He will end his successful album campaign with a hometown show in the famous Theater Carré in Amsterdam.
