Benny Sings’ latest album ‘Young Hearts‘ has been nominated for an Edison Award. The album has been selected in the category Soul/R&B/Funk.
The Edison Award is the most prestigious and oldest music prize in the Netherlands. The coveted prize is awarded by a professional jury to music productions of exceptional quality and impact and has been awarded since 1960. The award can be compared to the American Grammy Award, the German Echo, or the British Brit Award.
This is what the jury had to say about ‘Young Hearts’: “The songs on Young Hearts feel positive and carefree, thanks in part to the soulful melodies and catchy hooks. The album feels like a perfect balance between accessibility and artistic depth. Benny Sings remains true to his characteristic subtlety and well-kept productions.”
The award ceremony will take place on October 9 in AFAS Theater, Leusden. All winners will be announced in the second half of September.
