Singer-songwriter Benny Sings is back with a brand new song and video, signaling the start of an exciting new chapter. For more than twenty years, Benny Sings has been crafting music with humor and heart. Over the course of his impressive career, he has released several acclaimed albums and collaborated with an impressive roster of artists including Kenny Beats, Remi Wolf, Mac DeMarco, Tom Misch, Rex Orange County, The Free Nationals, GoldLink, and Cory Henry, building bridges across genres and continents.

“Castle” represents a deeply personal new phase in Benny’s life. After decades dedicated to touring and recording, the prolific artist has recently embraced a more grounded, family-focused lifestyle. This transition provides the core inspiration for his upcoming music.
“I’ve totally immersed in family life lately. We bought a house, renovated it, still are. The last 20 years doing Benny Sings, making albums, touring, built up to this moment of homecoming. The new album is all about that, my adult life as a real person. It sure is something. This first release of the new album, called “Castle” celebrates our little house on the prairie. Blood sweat and tears, but we’re here, we’re home, at last.”
This focus on home and process mirrors the artistic philosophy we’ve always admired in Benny’s work—a commitment to sharing music that is authentic and without big ambition or pressure, as seen in his earlier, freewheeling beat tapes.
In the accompanying self-directed music video, Benny performs and dances through an abandoned house awaiting renovation. It’s a striking visual metaphor that perfectly captures the joy and challenges of building a home and life from the ground up, moving from the idea to the realization.
Watch the video and listen to “Castle” now, and join Benny Sings on his musical homecoming.
