Musician, singer-songwriter and producer GOSTO is back with his new EP ‘HOME FOR DAYS’. The EP contains previously released singles ‘Yurnodalone’, ‘I Don’t Mind’, ‘Lucky Night’ and ‘What It Means’ together with the new single ‘FOCUS’. This EP stems from the sheer amount of time that the pandemic brought about. GOSTO challenged himself to develop his sound- and production skills and the music that resulted from it felt like a bonus to him. The EP is playful and organic, warm and melodic, groovy and dreamy, nostalgic and sensitive with great attention to detail.

After two years of silence, GOSTO finally started releasing new music in 2021. In those years he went back to the drawing board and thus returned to the origin of his passion. In the new music his own sound resonates in a new way. The instruments are recorded and edited analogously, keeping the imperfection of the recordings intact. The result is this new EP, which he is so passionate about that he wants to share it with as many people as possible.

The focus single for this EP is ‘FOCUS’. The song is a collaboration with Someone; the project of Dutch-British musician, producer and visual artist Tessa Rose Jackson. When creating ‘FOCUS’ they felt the need to create something energetic and somewhat ironic. To reinforce this feeling they recorded a nostalgic and cheerful music video in which they have imitated all kinds of 80s and 90s music videos.

“The collaboration with Tessa was so inspiring because she stands in the music world with so much energy and enthusiasm. Tessa can and does a lot herself, so the end result is always clearly visible.” – GOSTO

GOSTO released his debut album ‘Memory Ivy’ in 2016 which put him on the map in one fell swoop. He toured in Japan twice and played shows at festivals such as Reeperbahn (DE), Eurosonic Noorderslag (NL) and Glimps (BE). Besides that he also supported Oscar and the Wolf, Jamie Lidell and Thomas Dybdahl at their shows. His second album ‘What do You Mean, You Need a Color TV’ (2019) brought more soul, lightness and tempo to the music. This was partly due to the collaboration with Will Knox, a born storyteller, and singer and producer, Tim van Berkestijn, better known as Benny Sings.
