Looking back and forward into 2020!
We started the year with the enormous privilege of releasing Benny Sings latest album ‘City Pop’ thru a huge personal favorite label ‘Stones Throw Records’ from Los Angeles. What happened after was better than hoped for. Benny Sings played sold out shows all over the world, album got picked up and supported by the likes of John Mayer and Anderson Paak and the ‘Not Enough’ music video got multiple award nominations and prices.
Besides his solo artist works Benny saw lots of collaborations successfully released from artist like Free Nationals, Blackwave, Bea1991, M.I.L.K. and Faberyayo to name a few. Another highlight was the release of the Japanese animation serie ‘Carol & Tuesday’ for which Benny Sings composed and produced 3 songs. (among other likes Flying Lotus, Mocky, Thundercat, Kings Of Convience and more).
We are also extremely proud to see different synchs happen thru our publishing company for Apple, Netflix, HBO for songs from our writers.
We’ve welcomed new artists in the shape of LUKA on management and Roos Jonker and Dean Tippet on publishing. For both acts 2020 looks promosing with new music being released in collaboration with Snowstar Records (LUKA/NL) and Sonar Kollektiv & P-Vine (Roos Jonker).
Not to forget the huge success we had for AAA Label Services with some of the projects we worked on; Kris Berry Gold Award for single ‘Hold On’, releasing the first single of the extremely talented Maxine as well as being part of Van Dik Hout 25-years celebrative year.
2020 is looking incredibly exciting – we can’t wait to share with you what we’ve got coming up, suffice to say 2020 is looking bright. It’s been a challenging year outside of our musical bubble, which makes the sanctuary that music provides all the more important.
First up will be new music from Benny Sings and we are attending Eurosonic Noorderslag with some of our artists who are playing the festival.
